Lighting Up Insights with Two New Reports
Under BharatGAIN, we proudly present two insightful reports:
Assessing Gaps in EV Battery Recycling Ecosystem
India's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2070 includes ambitious EV adoption targets: 30% for private cars, 70% for commercial vehicles, and 80% for two and three-wheelers by 2030. A major challenge to this goal is India's high dependency on imported lithium EV batteries, which underscores the importance of developing a strong EV battery recycling ecosystem.
In our inaugural report, we examine the policy and implementation gaps that hinder the development of this recycling infrastructure. Our analysis covers state and central policies, benchmarks them against global best practices, and provides actionable recommendations to strengthen recycling policies and support India's EV adoption goals.

E-Commerce and Logistics Growth in India: Meeting India’s Seasonal Surge
India’s e-commerce sector sees a substantial boost during festive seasons, with transacting users rising fifteen-fold and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) increasing nearly twenty-fold since 2014. This shift highlights the growing role of online shopping in celebrations, driven by exclusive deals. Logistics is essential in meeting this demand, with sales surging by 40-50% during peak periods. To ensure timely deliveries, logistics providers are expanding capacity, leveraging advanced technologies, and forming strategic partnerships.
Our report explores this evolving relationship between e-commerce growth and logistics capabilities in India, offering insights into operational challenges, technological innovations, and strategic recommendations for optimizing e-commerce logistics during peak seasons.
