The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has put out draft amendments to the IT intermediary rules of 2021 for public consultations. The amendments, which pertain to online gaming and cover gaming platforms, intermediaries and players, are expected to be a big part of the Government of India’s goal of a $1-trillion digital economy by FY2025-26.
