The world is already 1.1C warmer, on average, compared to pre-industrial levels, and even our plans to combat climate change, let alone their implementation, are insufficient to keep limit warming below 1.5C, reveals the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report and its accompanying Synthesis Report.
